My AIIAS story is about God’s goodness and faithfulness. My experience here at AIIAS has significantly impacted my faith in God and my relationship with Him in a positive way. It has taught me to trust in God’s leading, even though it sometimes means going through the valley of the shadow of death.
I was supposed to finish my program last December (2024). Somehow, I had to extend for another semester. It was a difficult time for me because I was experiencing some health issues. It was also during that time that I was supposed to complete my research project and sit for my comprehensive exam—praise God that He graciously allowed me to pass. However, it took me another semester to complete my research project.
Sometimes it means God is allowing you to go through tough times. AIIAS also taught me to believe in God’s process and purpose for my life. The fact that I am here today is a testament to God’s leading, and with Him, nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37).
Before coming to AIIAS, I didn’t really know why I chose a Master of Science in Administration (MSA). But today, as I look back, I can confidently testify that God has brought me to this path.
It took some time for my friends to realize that I am in graduate school and not in the Seminary, knowing that I am an ordained Pastor. I told them when I applied to come to AIIAS, I thought I was applying for a program in the Seminary. When I reflect on the life of Moses, God allowed him to pass through Egypt and the wilderness. My point is this: sometimes, God exposes us to different areas or contexts of learning to equip us for His purpose. I came to realize that my good professors, secretaries in the graduate school, and editors all contributed to helping me become the person I am today.
I can promote the MSA program to pastors because this program is not only about being a strategic thinker, making good decisions, interpersonal and communication skills, and other areas; it taught me about servant leadership—to lead like Christ. In the life of my professor, I can see the character of Christ reflected. Even though learning business concepts is a totally new experience for me, as I look back, God has brought me through this journey to prepare me for the person He wants me to be.
