From July 17–29, 2025, eighteen members of the AIIAS Education Department Students Association (EDSA) traveled to Thailand on a mission trip themed “Touching Hearts, Touching Minds.” The team spent a Sabbath with the church family members at Bangkok Adventist Hospital before heading towards the border between Thailand and Myanmar. From Bangkok, the team went their separate ways to minister in different locations. Among them were two representatives of the SPD AIIAS Community—Casper Hillary and VonErick Liligeto. VonErick Liligeto joined the group assigned to Sunshine Orchard Learning Center, where he was tasked to preach throughout the program. Meanwhile, Casper Hillary went with the team that served at Naung Bo Dang Learning Centres. Both institutions enroll refugees and serve as safe havens for education and hope.
The team ministered through classroom teaching, personal testimonies, fun activities, and morning and evening worship that opened doors for deep spiritual conversations and prayer. The mission ended on a Sabbath that climaxed in a remarkable outpouring of faith, with 16 candidates baptized students who courageously gave their lives to Christ. The experience was a vivid reminder that while the team came to serve, they themselves returned transformed, filled with gratitude, renewed purpose, and the joy of witnessing God’s providence and love at work in changing lives.
